Cash is a 4 year old gorgeous brown lab mix. He is one of those dogs whose story tears at our hearts. We love him at the shelter, but he is back, again, confused and depressed after landing here for a second time. Last year, his best friend turned him over to GA Animal Control because he couldn’t afford knee surgery. So, to Save-A-Pet he came.
We provided his orthopedic surgery thanks to supporters. His loving foster mom nursed him to health over the course of a year; she loved him and snuggled with him. She taught him tricks and took him on playdates with other dogs. Cash’s heart began to heal. Life was good, and he thought he was home. So when there was a change in his foster mom’s situation and she returned him, Cash landed back at our shelter where, once again, he declines from a broken heart. A broken heart, a beautiful heart with so much to give.
Cash needs a home without small children as he is still very mouthy. He gets along with other dogs and loves to please. He truly has such potential to be a loyal companion.
