Compassion is our Compass!

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.”
Anatole France

These tiny Border Collie mixes, each weighing just 20 pounds, spent their lives trapped in a home where neighbors say the abuse had been going on for years. Behind closed doors, cries and screams were often heard. Complaints were made, but nothing changed.

Then the abuse spilled into public view.

Witnesses reported seeing the dogs being grabbed upside down and slammed to the ground. It was heartbreaking, horrifying, and impossible to ignore. While the owner suffers from mental disabilities, does that excuse years of suffering for innocent animals? We don't believe it does.

This week, after years of concern from neighbors and animal advocates, we were finally able to get the animals signed over.

Sparky and Squirt are now safe. Please donate toward their medical care, including neuters, dentals, bloodwork and keeping them safe and cozy until a forever home is found.
