She was but a tiny puppy when she was found on an abandoned property in Georgia. But it was soon was discovered that Honey Bear wasn’t just a victim of abandonment — her back foot was missing. There was no evidence of any form of entanglement, entrapment or of it somehow being crushed. Her little leg had been intentionally cut off, which was later confirmed by veterinarians that the cut was clean and through the tibia and fibula. At just 5-6 weeks old — barely old enough to be separated from her mother, this innocent puppy had already experienced the worst of humans. But this sweet girl has not given up her faith in humanity — she loves getting and giving love, and her missing limb doesn’t stop her from getting around. She is happy, playful tri-pod puppy.
Honey Bear is a four month old Chocolate Lab Mix. She is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed. Honey Bear is ready for that special someone or family to give her what she doesn’t know exists — a loving, forever home.
